Private behaviour and training consults, Working Dog Foundations Workshop, Stock Dog Handler Workshop, Working Dog Day Trains and puppy and dog socialisation sessions
- You fully understand there is a risk of injury or damages to yourself, your dog/s and other attendees
- You accept all responsibility for this and release Akheron Working Dogs from all liability, costs and damages which could arise from participation
- For Working Dog Day Trains - in the event an injury or accident occurs in which your dog requires veterinary care, you accept that I, the business owner, will notify you on the incident and then transport your dog to a local vet or emergency vet (I.e. Queensland Veterinary Specialists at North Lakes) but we do not accept any responsibility to pay for veterinary treatment or aftercare
Herding sessions liability (sheep, goat and cattle training) including Working Dog Day Trains
- You fully understand that the participation in herding training with Akheron Working Dogs could include actions which may be hazardous to you or your dog/s.
- You agree to the fact that participation may cause harm or injury to you or your dog/s.
- You release Akheron Working Dogs from all liability, costs and damages which could arise from your and your dog/s participation in herding training.
- You agree to accept financial responsibility for yourself and your dog/s for any medical treatment related to herding training
- You agree to accept financial responsibility if your dog/s cause injury or death to my livestock
- You agree to pay $50 if your dog/s cause injury to my sheep or goats which requires it to be pulled from use in herding sessions for an extensive period
- You agree to pay $300 if your dog/s cause the death or injuries leading to death of my sheep or goats to cover veterinary treatment, disposal costs and replacement livestock
- You agree to pay $100 if your dog/s cause injury to my cattle which requires it to be pulled from use in herding sessions for an extensive period
- You agree to pay $500 if your dog/s cause the death or injuries leading to death of my cattle to cover veterinary treatment, disposal costs and replacement livestock
Your responsibilities
- You must be in control of and are responsible your dog/s at all times
- You are responsible for any injury, illness or damages caused by yourself or your dog/s
- Keep your dog/s on lead, tethered or crated and DO NOT allow them to wander off-leash when attending my property for consults or sessions/classes
- Do not allow your dog/s to approach other dogs or people in group settings
- You are responsible for picking up after your dog/s and must take any waste with you off my property (e.g. faeces in a bag)
- DO NOT attend sessions/classes or consults if you are sick (e.g. cold, flu, COVID etc.)
Safety concerns
- You must be truthful and accurate in providing information about yourself, your dog/s and their vaccination/health status and behaviour
- Please inform me if your dog is reactive or exhibits human or dog aggression prior to attending consults or sessions/classes - contact me to discuss suitable arrangements
- Children under 18 years of age who attend consults or sessions/classes must be accompanied by an adult
Vaccinations, health and behaviour status
- You must provide proof of your dog/s vaccination status prior to attending consults or sessions/classes
- Puppies must have a minimum of two vaccinations prior to attending consults or sessions/classes
- Puppies must be at least 12 weeks old to attend training on our property
- Adult dogs must be fully vaccinated, or titre tested prior to attending classes or consults
- All puppies and dogs must be in good health prior to attending classes or consults
- DO NOT attend sessions/classes or consults if your dog exhibits signs of or has an illness or disease (e.g. canine cough, etc.)
