TERMS AND CONDITIONS

In booking for any of our services including sheep/goat/cattle herding (private and group) sessions, private behaviour and training consults, Working Dog Foundations Workshop, Stock Dog Handler Workshop, Working Dog Full Day and Half Day Trains, puppy or adult dog socialisation sessions or livestock services, you accept the terms and conditions listed below. This includes if you book via our website or if your session/appointment is booked manually via the business owner/head trainer.

Sheep and Goat Herding

Beginner and Novice Classes

• A deposit of $31 must be paid at the time of booking
• This is required as an administration fee in the event you do not attend your session without giving a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation 
• If you cancel on the day of your booking or do not attend without notice, you’ll be required to pay the full amount for your session via bank transfer or invoice (exemptions may be made in emergency circumstances deemed reasonable by the business owner)
• A refund of the deposit may be issued subject to the business owner’s discretion (e.g. severe weather event etc.)

Private sessions

• A deposit of $44 must be paid at the time of booking
• This is required as an administration fee in the event you do not attend your session without giving a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation
• If you cancel on the day of your booking or do not attend without notice, you’ll be required to pay the full amount for your session via bank transfer or invoice (exemptions may be made in emergency circumstances deemed reasonable by the business owner)
• A refund of the deposit may be issued subject to business owner’s discretion (e.g. severe weather event)

Puppy class

• A deposit of $18 must be paid at the time of booking
• This is required as an administration fee in the event you do not attend your session without giving a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation
• If you cancel on the day of your booking or do not attend without notice, you’ll be required to pay the full amount for your session via bank transfer or invoice (exemptions may be made in emergency circumstances deemed reasonable by the business owner)

Cattle Herding

Private sessions

• A deposit of $61 must be paid at the time of booking
• This is required as an administration fee in the event you do not attend your session without giving a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation
• If you cancel on the day of your booking or do not attend without notice, you’ll be required to pay the full amount for your session via bank transfer or invoice (exemptions may be made in emergency circumstances deemed reasonable by the business owner)
• A refund of the deposit may be issued subject to business owner’s discretion (e.g. severe weather event)

Beginner Class

• A deposit of $48 must be paid at the time of booking
• This is required as and administration fee in the event you do not attend your session without a minimum of 48-hours notice of cancellation
• If you cancel on the day of your booking or do not attend without notice, you’ll be required to pay the full amount for your session via bank transfer or invoice (exemptions may be made in emergency circumstances deemed reasonable by the business owner)
• A refund of the deposit may be issued subject to the business owner’s discretion (e.g. severe weather event)

Behaviour and training consults

• You must give minimum of 48-hours notice to cancel or an administration fee of $50 will be incurred
• An invoice will be emailed to you  in this case

Working Dog Full Day and Half Day Trains

• Full Day Train - A deposit of $120 must be paid at the time of booking
• Half Day Train - A deposit of $75 must be paid at the time of booking
• This deposit is required as an administrative fee in the event you do not attend your booking without giving 48 hours notice of cancellation
• If you cancel on the day of your booking or do not attend without notice, you’ll be required to pay full remaining price for the day train ($120 for Day Train and $75 for Half Day Train) via bank transfer or invoice (exemptions may be made in emergency circumstances deemed reasonable by the business owner)
• A refund of the deposit may be issued subject to the business owners discretion (e.g. severe weather event)

Working Dog Foundations Workshop

• Full payment of $240 (including GST) must be paid at the time of booking to secure your spot for the 2-hour workshop
• The workshop may be rescheduled subject to the business owner’s discretion (e.g. severe weather event)
• Refunds will not be given for no attendance unless in specific cases as deemed acceptable by the business owner

Stock Dog Handler Workshop

• Full payment of $250 (including GST) must be paid at the time of booking to secure your spot for the 2-hour workshop
• The workshop may be rescheduled subject to the business owner’s discretion (e.g. severe weather event)
• Refunds will not be given for no attendance unless in specific cases as deemed acceptable by the business owner

Socialisation sessions

• A deposit of $18 must be paid at the time of booking for the puppy sessions
• A deposit of $18 must be paid at the time of booking for the adult dog  sessions
• This is required as an administration fee in the event you do not attend your session without giving a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation
• If you cancel on the day of your booking or do not attend without notice, you’ll be required to pay the full amount for your session via bank transfer or invoice (exemptions may be made in emergency circumstances deemed reasonable by the business owner)
• A refund of the deposit may be issued subject to business owner’s discretion (e.g. severe weather event)

Cancellations by Akheron Working Dogs

• The business owner reserves the right to cancel or reschedule consults or classes at any time
• The business owner may cancel training in unsuitable weather conditions (e.g. storms) for the safety of you, your dog/s, myself, my dogs and my livestock
• Notice of cancellation will be provided to clients via social media and email/phone as soon as possible

For all services offered by Akheron Working Dogs

• You fully understand there is a risk of injury or damages to yourself, your dog/s and other attendees
• You accept all responsibility for this and release Akheron Working Dogs from all liability, costs and damages which could arise from participation
• For Working Dog Day Trains - in the event an injury or accident occurs in which your dog requires veterinary care, you accept that I, the business owner, will notify you on the incident and then transport your dog to a local vet or emergency vet (I.e. Queensland Veterinary Specialists at North Lakes) but we do not accept any responsibility to pay for veterinary treatment or aftercare

Herding sessions liability (sheep, goat and cattle training) including Working Dog Day Trains

• You fully understand that the participation in herding training with Akheron Working Dogs could include actions which may be hazardous to you or your dog/s. 
• You agree to the fact that participation may cause harm or injury to you or your dog/s. 
• You release Akheron Working Dogs from all liability, costs and damages which could arise from your and your dog/s participation in herding training. 
• You agree to accept financial responsibility for yourself and your dog/s for any medical treatment related to herding training
• You agree to accept financial responsibility if your dog/s cause injury or death to my livestock
• You agree to pay $50 if your dog/s cause injury to my sheep or goats which requires it to be pulled from use in herding sessions for an extensive period
• You agree to pay $300 if your dog/s cause the death or injuries leading to death of my sheep or goats to cover veterinary treatment, disposal costs and replacement livestock
• You agree to pay $100 if your dog/s cause injury to my cattle which requires it to be pulled from use in herding sessions for an extensive period
• You agree to pay $500 if your dog/s cause the death or injuries leading to death of my cattle to cover veterinary treatment, disposal costs and replacement livestock

Your responsibilities

• You must be in control of and are responsible your dog/s at all times
• You are responsible for any injury, illness or damages caused by yourself or your dog/s
• Keep your dog/s on lead, tethered or crated and DO NOT allow them to wander off-leash when attending my property for consults or sessions/classes
• Do not allow your dog/s to approach other dogs or people in group settings
• You are responsible for picking up after your dog/s and must take any waste with you off my property (e.g. faeces in a bag)
• DO NOT attend sessions/classes or consults if you are sick (e.g. cold, flu, COVID etc.)

Safety concerns

• You must be truthful and accurate in providing information about yourself, your dog/s and their vaccination/health status and behaviour
• Please inform me if your dog is reactive or exhibits human or dog aggression prior to attending consults or sessions/classes - contact me to discuss suitable arrangements
• Children under 18 years of age who attend consults or sessions/classes must be accompanied by an adult

Vaccinations, health and behaviour status

• You must provide proof of your dog/s vaccination status prior to attending consults or sessions/classes
• Puppies must have a minimum of two vaccinations prior to attending consults or sessions/classes
• Puppies must be at least 12 weeks old to attend training on our property
• Adult dogs must be fully vaccinated, or titre tested prior to attending classes or consults
• All puppies and dogs must be in good health prior to attending classes or consults
• DO NOT attend sessions/classes or consults if your dog exhibits signs of or has an illness or disease (e.g. canine cough, etc.)

• You agree that the knowledge and skills gained through your participation in any services offered by Akheron Working Dogs (including herding,  Working Dog Foundations Workshop, Stock Dog Handler Workshop, private behaviour modification consultations and livestock services) must not be used in the creation of your own business or services whereby you receive monetary gain

• Photos/videos may be taken during classes or consults and shared on my website and/or social media
• You must inform us that you do not wish for yourself or your dog/s to be photographed/videoed before attending our classes or consults

PLEASE NOTE: In person purchases (including remaining payments for herding training, consultations and training gear/toys) may incur a 2.2% card surcharge. This does not apply to purchases through the website.
