SOCIALISATION SESSIONS

Herding breed behaviours and appropriate training are often misunderstood and inappropriately managed in many general pet dog training settings. Many “social play groups” can be poorly run and allow for poor behaviours to persist or develop leading to fear, anxiety, high arousal and reactivity. These reasons are why I developed herding breed specific socialisation sessions. 

Adult dog socialisation sessions are available to herding breed dogs (and apparent mixes) from 6 months of age and up. These sessions are catered to any temperament. These on-going sessions will be run at my property in Burpengary East, QLD. You can attend as many sessions as you like. These sessions are NOT suitable for dog or human reactive/aggressive dogs. Session details:

• Up to 6 dogs per session
• 1 hour session - $33 per dog (including GST)
• These sessions are intended as a behaviour based social session to promote appropriate interactions between dogs and their environment
• These sessions are a relaxed, fun and safe alternative to the dog park!
•  I monitor the dogs social skills and interactions (e.g. if they are timid or a bit too pushy) in a controlled environment
• I want to ensure appropriate dog communication and safe interactions
• Various obstacles and toys for fun and confidence building
• Your herding breed dog will be monitored by a working breed expert trainer

We also offer social assessments to determine a dogs suitability for our socialisation sessions or for initial exposure to our dogs prior to attending socialisation sessions. These sessions are suitable for puppies and dogs to have a safe, positive experience with other well-adjusted, confident dogs with appropriate dog social skills. These are run at my property in Burpengary East, QLD. Contact us to book this service. Pricing is $55 (including GST) for a 30-minute assessment.

Who are these sessions suitable for?

• Puppies of any age (that has had least two puppy vaccinations ) to learn how to "speak dog" appropriately
• Dogs that need assistance with learning  appropriate dog communication skills
• Owners that are unsure of how their dog will behave around new dogs 
• Rescue dogs with limited or unknown history
• Dogs that have had poor experiences in the past and need assistance to build on more positive interactions and build confidence around other dogs

THESE SESSIONS ARE CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE 

Our puppy socialisation sessions are available to herding/working breed puppies (and apparent mixes) from 12 weeks to 6 months old. These sessions are catered to any temperament.  We can help timid puppies build confidence and overzealous puppies settle. These on-going sessions will be run at my property in Burpengary East, QLD. You can attend as many as you like until your puppy reaches 6 months old. Please read the terms and conditions before booking. Please provide proof of vaccination when attending your first session.

Session details:

• Up to 8 puppies per session
• 1 hour session - $28 per puppy (including GST)
• Puppy playground - various stimuli to help with your puppy's development
• Monitored play to assist puppies in learning appropriate dog communication skills and safe interactions
• Your working breed pup will be monitored by a working breed experienced trainer
